Statement:

This set took inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco. They are split into two sides representing the two different families. Art Nouveau was centered around the Montagues and Art Deco was centered around the Capulets, which was decided around the families’ values and personalities. Through out the show, as shown, there is hanging scenery of foliage behind the main unit, these units rise throughout the show surrounding the two sides representing the blooming love between Romeo and Juliet.
