Iphigenia Crash Land Falls on the Neon Shell that Once Was Her Heart

Statement:

This design of Iphigenia was inspired by this quote: “Those are the screams of the innocent, the tortured, the disappeared that find themselves in a potter’s field.”

This imagery of a potter’s field spoke to me, representing all of the lives that have been lost and forgotten. This potter’s field was a popular spot for outside raves, hence the speakers, TVs and lights that have been left behind, showing disregard and ignorance for those who are buried here. Among the seats there are caskets, the purpose of these are to make the audience members feel they are a part of the issue, disrespecting the innocent lives.

Audience members choose where can sit, in seats or on caskets. This is so the audience can feel as emersed as they want and so they can choose their sight lines since this set is in the round.
